What's the use & meaning of this META tag.

Generally what's the use of META tag in html.Tell me the meaning and usage of this tag meta http-equiv="pragma" content="no-cache".

The "no-cache" kinda gives it away, it means that each time a viewer views your page, the page is requested again from the server, not from their cache.
