Hi all,
I specialise in HTML, FLASH, and PHOTOSHOP and currently produce mainly websites, I've been producing websites for around 7 years now as a hobby but am now studying it at degree level, I have a basic portfolio at www.massgingerharassment.com (http://www.massgingerharassment.com) where you can see some examples of my work
I'm doing a site for a UK film festival, the rationale of the festival is to get films to all ages, and all areas of Dorset, it is a registered charity and therefore they have little funding for the website as it is all going into venues etc.
However, if somebody can provide me with a solution to my brief I will pay out of my own pocket for the solution. It might even prove to be a fairly easy/interesting breif.
Anyway here's the brief
They require as part of their site, a section which lists all the films that they will be showing, (around 80 - 100 films) this will be constantly need to be updated by the organisers as the films are confirmed by their distributors. The database needs to consist of the following information:
Film Name
Venue
Info (artist, director, year)
brief description by film festival person
link to info on the film on imdb.com
public reviews - where members of the public can write their own reviews online
I need webpages to read from the database and display the data, preferably with a way that I can play with the aesthetics.
I also need an online page where all of this information can be inputted by authorised users who will be given username and password (can be the same username and password for all)
For the public reviews, there would need to be another submit form - available to anyone who is browsing the website - which submits straight into the database, and the newest review is displayed on the page, whereas the older reviews are accessible in an archived page (sort of like a blog system I guess)
I have 3 weeks set aside in June to produce the site and a final week after that for testing before the site goes live in July,
If you need any more information, feel free to ask, its probably best to either reply here or email me at emuconfusion @ hotmail.co.uk (emuconfusion@hotmail.co.uk) and we can discuss the project, and payment.
I hope I've captured someones imagination out there, dont be afraid to contact me,
many thanks,
simon
