Drop Down Menus

Not sure if this belongs here or in the CSS forum, so Moderators feel free to move as appropriate.

So I'm implementing these dropdown menus - http://www.alistapart.com/articles/dropdowns/

These are good for me for a number of reasons, including accessibility, easy of styling with CSS, editing the menu etc.

They work really well, however if there is a select menu as part of a web form on the page, the menu seems to go behind these (all other form elements are ok). I've been trying to google it, and I've seen some people with the same issue, but no solution yet.

Any help would be really appreciated.

No true solution, but you can use a trick. Set the visibility of the select element to hidden whenever the dropdown menu is open (or only when that part of the dropdown menu comes over the select) and set it back to visible when the dropdown menu is closed.
