View Full Version : Copyright Issues & illegal Sites
Hi Masters,
Why are these sites (like http://www.serials.ws) existing though Copyrights are bounded with the materials?
And are our actions illegal if we quotes things (as a reference ) from Copyright-protected materials.
Thanks.

You've picked one of hundreds of crack/serial sites.
But i guess it's like many adult sites, or which some are undoubtedly illegal too in such as soon as you shut one down, ten spring up somewhere else.
Any endless chase i think.
Although i know of a few crack sites that have been up for a while and wonder how come?

There is still a high demand for cracks and serials for software which people can't afford but still need to use.
They are illegal, but there is also a lot of money in doing it as a lot of these crack sites involve trying to install crap on your computer if you don't use a decent browser :p
btw, I would expect this thread to be closed 'cause of the nature of it, however I can see some interesting responses down the line :D
You also have to remember that this type of stuff is quickly spread around the dark sides of the internet. Adult websites are only one form of illegal yet highly used websites.
Robbing a bank is illegal, just like using cracks and unpurchased keys, yet it happens. Doesn't mean there is reprimand for getting caught using these serial keys.

Yeah well..there is a reprimand of people using unpurchased keys etc. Piracy has been around for a while and I can't see it ever being stamped out...
Well....companies have to, and declare that they are, using legit software. Although home users can't really be caught that easily because they are using the software quietly and discreet about it. I don't think software companies will stop home users from using cracked software, as much as they would like.

@Iota: I recommend you remove the link, as although you're just using the site as an example, it could be perceived as breaking the rules.
Ollie :) .
I don't see an issue with it. Any 5 year old on Google could find much better crack sites, and it serves as an excellent example to iota's point.
