Dell keyboard lights

I have recently bought a Dell computer, complete with multimedia keyboard. Although I don't use the buttons, the volume knob is nice to have right there. Here's the thing: the buttons all have big bright green LEDs and they are right next to the Caps Lock LED, which is also green but much dimmer. As such, especially in daylight, I can never see the Caps Lock LED, and have on many occasions begun typing rIDICULOUS LOOKING SENTENCES. (sorry)
Is there any way, short of opening up the keyboard and disconnecting the LEDs, to turn these things off?

There might be, but it would be easier to get a new keyboard, as tampering with the keyboard or something might void your warranty.

Short of opening up the keyboard, there's not much that you can do. However, you could just cover up the leds with some paper or cover them with some black paint or something. Of course the paint may void your warranty, so you might want to stick with the paper idea.

OK, thanks. I guess I was just hoping there was something in the BIOS (like the setting that turns on NumLock by default).
I'm off to find some dark tape :rolleyes:

Or you could just replace the keyboard :thumbsup:
