I decided instead of hiring a company to do my SEO I am going to buy the best available software to do that task. I'm sure I'm not the first to try this, so please list the best SEO software you have used heard of.

I think most people here tend to do SEO themselves. Most software is looked down on since SEO can be done much better by hand.

Yeah, I think it’s pretty stupid to let a program do the work that no program could actually do. That’s the same as if you would look for a program that writes semantic HTML for you. No program can currently write semantic code because no program can identify the meaning of content in its context (and which you intend to apply to it). Likewise no program can do proper search engine optimization, it takes a human mind to do that.

I would even dare to say that you should refrain from hiring a company as this might be wasted money (depending on the size of your site). I’d rather spend the money on a good book that explains what is important and what oe has to take care of and then do it manually. SEO isn’t all that hard. And if you don’t have the money to hire a company (or don’t wanna spend it) then it would even be worse to buy a useless program.

Someone else may have a different opinion so don’t take my word for absolutely granted.

This is supposed to be good though I've not tried it yet.
