"Type In" value in <select> form field?

Hi,

Is there a script or even some basic html which allows the user to type in there own option in a select form field?

here is a link to the basic idea....I never finished it do to fustration in my part. You can play around with it if you like. It works, but there are no options to delete options out of it, also no storage capablities with cookies, sever side...etc.......
