Hi there,

Is there a way of printing out, or getting some kind of text file listing of all the tables, fields within them, and if possible the field type?

Can you do it from SQL or do you need to run some ASP script, etc for it?

Cheers,
Sparky.

The information is there, you have to use a tool to extract it from the database. As far as i know, you can use any reporting tool to do that. So ASP would be an option.

If the format it's in doesn't matter, you can also do a Generate SQL on the database (from Enterprise manager), select all tables and go for it.
Now you have a sql script to regenerate the database, this holds all the info about the tables, columns and types

Thanks a lot for your help, I hadnt thought about the Generate SQL option.

Much appreciated,
Sparky.
