Secure e-mail

Hi.
Would any of you guys help me out here.
I would like to send my sort code out to customers through my email, so then customers can electronically transfer the cost of my services to my bank account. I think it would be best if the email containing my sort code was some how encryted or made secure. Can this be done? If so please do tell me.
I am new to web develpment so the very easiest method first please.

Neither your bank sort code nor your account number are secret or confidential in any sense. They appear on your cheques. There is no point in encrypting them.

There are many encrypting tools/programs but the resultant text can only be decrypted when the receipient has the same tool installed. This tends to limit the utilty for one-fff applications.
