Saving and Spending Points

I dont know if this is php, mySQL, or both. I want each member of my site to start with a certain amount of points. THey can choose to spend these points, and when they click on the send link, I want the points to be spent. Every person must have their own account and password. i have no idea where to start. Im currently using a tripod site to do my php on, im a newbie with this stuff, please help me out.

To me this sounds a big job, I got no idea how to do it myself as I'm not that good with php or mysql. Sounds interesting though. Sorry I'm no help :(

As nightfire said something like that would take much work so if you want help either you will need to hire someone to do it for you or put it together yourself and when you run into something you can't figure out then ask specific questions.
