View Full Version : MathML resources
I'm trying to learn MathML and there seems to either be hidden or limited online resources about this subject. Does anyone know some good sites? Especially stuff on the basics eg. supported browsers, webpage requirements (doctypes etc) and the tags.
Thanks.
Have you taken a look at the MathML specification (http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/REC-MathML2-20031021/)?
See also the top Google result for "mathml resources" (http://www.dessci.com/en/reference/webmath/tech/mathml.htm).
The W3C specs on the matter are more tha sufficient for learning MathML. As for support, Gecko builds have had presentation MathML rendering out of the box for a long long time, so this means Firefox, Camino, the Mozilla Suite, etc.
There also exists a plugin for Internet Explorer, which means you have rather good support.
An important note: Mozilla does not support Content MathML rendering, which means you either need to mix presentation and content (there are mechanisms in placae for that), or include an XSLT document to transform content mathml into presentation mathml.
