I was reading about this recently: Description of CD-R and CD-RW recording in Windows XP (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B279157)

So, automating that process might involve using the Shell script to copy files to the staging directory, and invoke a verb on the drive object--which would launch the wizard... probably not worth the effort.

On the other hand, Nero has an automation SDK, but it costs...$
