Display Messenger status on webpage?

I'm not even sure if this is possible but i'll ask anyway.

Is it possible for me to have some sort of code / script on my page that shows whether i'm logged into my MSN Messeger?

Like an offline / online status thing.

Does such a thing exist?

This has been discussed several times before - I think it is possible to do it with a bit of Active X and Javascript, but active x is only supported by IE, so it will be useless to a large proportion of your audience.

it might be possible to write an MSN plus! plugin that notifies your website of wether you are logged in or not so the site can update the info accordingly.
