Hey all,

I have changed this question because the code I pasted before was not correct. I have also pasted this problem at another forum in a desperate attempt to find a solution so if anyone else comes accross this twice I am sorry. Any here is what I mean

I need the result of this drop down menu
www.aboveproductions.com.au/chained.html

to fill in a variable field on this button
http://www.aboveproductions.com.au/add.html

the .js files for the two files can be found here
http://www.aboveproductions.com.au/jsfoundhere.htm

Cheers. :)

Echo

Your code is incomplete.

Perhaps if you post the entire code, I could help.

Also do not avoid using quotes in html code. It's a bad practice.

i.e. <input type="text">

Thanks for the tip ;).

Is this a much clearer example? I have reposted it above

<form action="add.html" method="get">
<select name="category" style="width:380px"></select>
<select name="site" style="width:380px"></select>
<input type="submit" value="Add" />
</form>
When the form is submitted, the field value pairs are appended to the URL as querystring. If this is a javascript shopping cart and you are not using any server-side language, use this javascript (http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=25786) to retrieve the URL querystring parameters.

Is it possible to have the generated and interpreted form on the same page? i.e. combining add.html with chained.html. so they are on the same.html page?
