Hey,
I'm teaching myself ASP.NET, so I have been using the free Web Developer Express Edition from Microsoft's VS 2005 beta web site to mess around in. My only question is, if I acutally make a web site with it, will any current hosts be able to acutally host the site, or not (since that version of .NET is still in beta)?
Thanks :)

As long as your hosting company has the .NET Framework 2.0 installed you won't have any problems. If your host has version 1. of the .NET Framework then you could run into a problem with items new to the newest version.

I don't suppose anyone could suggest the name of such a host? I asked Brinkster, but they said since the 2.0 framework was still in beta, they don't have it installed yet. I imagine this would be the response of most hosting companies...

I'll check that out, thanks :-) Is that the best free IDE you've found?

I have VS .Net Enterprise Architect but use Web Matrix on my laptop with XP Home. Web Matrix is very similar to VS.Net which I like.

Thanks miranda :) I think I'm probably set with all the tools I need, now.
