hello guys. please evaluate my website, it's a collection of layouts i did using only CSS. no graphics, minimal scripts.

i use pop up to present the info instead of iframe. tell me if this is ok or not. or if u have better suggestions.

i did this with ie6 and mozilla 1 in mind. i dunno how it looks in other browsers.

here's my site: http://sfsu.edu/~ibueno/vault.html

thanks for the time.

(im kinda new here. forgive me if im comitting grave errors.)

You've obviously put a lot of effort into your site, and you clearly know a lot more than I do about CSS. What I would say is that by using the most up-to-date standards you need your visitors to use the most up-to-date browser. In Opera, for example, your front menu overruns it's enclosing frame and none of the buttons seem to work if you have pop-ups disabled (one of Opera's cooler features). There's probably nothing wrong with your code, it's just that Opera doesn't recognise some of the attributes you're using. I hear Opera 7 will remedy this, we shall see.

Anyway, keep hanging around the forums, I can see people coming running to you for help.

As a newbie to CSS for page layout, I'm stunned and amazed. Please stay in these forums and keep up the phenominal work! I'm sure if anyone can figure out how to deal with the Opera quirks you can....and don't forget to tell us how you did it.

thnk u all for the encouraging comments. i will try to help as much as i can.

as with opera, i'll just have to wait for opera 7. i dont think opera 6 allows overflow: auto.

I'll give a big hand for these layouts. Very nicely implemented CSS and scripting.

But as a word of warning : there are still lots of users without modern browsers or scripting enabled. They may occur permanent problems. Also, some of the layouts could have reserved more space for informal part (breadtext etc.).

Anyway, keep on going. It's obvious you got the touch on visual designing.

Hi Zvona,

I don't understand this part. Can you explain it to me further?

some of the layouts could have reserved more space for informal part (breadtext etc.).

Thanks.
