Hi all, sorry for the emotive title but have a problem I just cannot find my way around! I have a site developed in .asp with Javascript as the default scripting language. At root, there is no problem - all is fine. There is however a directory called 'sys' under root and the deafult.asp page displays nothing in the browser while it works fine locally! Anyone encounter this peculiarity before?

Main site : http://www.small-business-dictionary.org

Problem page : http://www.small-business-dictionary.org/sys/

Would appreciate ANY comments on this as my client is beginning to wonder!!!

Regards,
Mike

Well, it would really help us if you could show us the code, it might not be some sort of server error, but some kind of scripting error.

Morgoth,

I'm inclined to think you're right...but no closer to a solution.

I've attached the pages from the 'sys' folder.

Cheers man,
Mike

Ok, I tested it on my computer

http://24.226.62.28/sys/Default.asp

and I see it come up just fine.

I had to remove:
<!--#include file = "../internals/.footer.inc"-->
I don't have that file, and I don't know why there is a dot at the begining of footer.

I am running Windows 200 pro, with IIS 5.0.

I have never heard of Jscript before today. lol :(

http://www.small-business-dictionary.org/sys/pages.asp
This looks like the default page. What's that about?

Also, I want you to try something for me. I don't know exactly if this is will. just TRY it.

Cut deafult.asp out of your sys folder and put it on your desktop. Now, right click your default.asp which is on the desktop and go to COPY, go back intoy our sys folder and paste it in. Now delete default.asp that is on your desktop. Try to load the url again and see if it worked.

Don't ask me why this worked for me once, just try it.

You can view my page right?

Cause if you can, then you have a problem wiht your footer, or a server problem.

Maybe, try copying the files out of the folder and deleting the folder. Then put the files back in a new sys folder.

I am trying to think of ways that might be a MS error or bug or mistake or security flaw or security error, or bug.
