task manager has corrupted

my task manager seems to have corrupted some how and i dont know how to fix it i have tried file protection scanning thing and that does not work does anyone know what to do? :confused:

Corrupted in what way? What symptom exactly is it displaying? Is it not showing up at all? Some viruses disable task manager such that you can't run it. Probably, that's the problem you got.

it just saying that it is corrupted a yellow bubble comes up on my task bar/start menu :confused:

eh? I don't quite get that.....have you tried system restore and removed all spyware/adware/bho items as well as any viruses/trojans etc?

Does it work in safe mode?
