I am looking for someone who wants to help me develop a sort of picture rating site.
It is called gradethis.com.
The idea is you "grade" people on certian features, eyes, mouth, hair, smile, eyes, etc etc. then there overall Grade Point Average is calculated to give you their total GPA.
Also perhaps have it so people can upload up to 3 pictures and each picture will have a different Report Card. But there overall GPA will be combined of the three report Cards.
If anyone is at all interested in this then please contact me. I am looking for a max of Two others. Profit for this will be split As such:
1st person: 30%
2nd person: 30%
The domain is already registered, the server space is already paid for....So once the profit from ads, and membership fees come in, is when you will begin to get paid.
Thanks in advance to all who are interested.

How about you pay me up-front for the work done and keep the profits to yourself?
These type of ventures never succeed, as the only developers who work on such projects are the ones who can not get a paying job to begin with and the resulting quality of the product is too low to generate any profit afterwards (given that the original concept had any merit....)

So how exactly are you planning on making money off of this website? If you have a more detailed plan I am interested in looking at it. We might be able to help you out.

I do plan on working on the site as well, and not just getting someone else to do all the work.
And to make money with it I plan on offering memberships., as well as advertising.
Memberships will be something like this:
1 year: $30
Have it so members can actually have contact between each other, through like pm, etc. Members can upload more photos, can create a more intense profile. Still working on all the available features, but you know get the point right.
Also once it gets big, and more popular, sell stuff like t-shirts, hats, teddy bears, um...coffee mugs...etc etc.
And also I believe something like this will work, as I have ran it by about 100 different people from different countries, and all said it would be something they would defiantly signup for.
I always to a lot of research before I start a venture.
Also, say if once the site is finished and it takes a year or so to turn a profit..Would it not be worth it still...if say 50-100 people signup a month, and at least 30% are paying lifetime memberships.
so about 30 * 40 = 1200.
So about 1200 * 12 = 14,400
Ok..now split that
1st person: 4320
2nd person: 4320
Yeah big deal 4320 a year...but that is just from member ships. and also 4320 extra a year for prob about 2-3 years isn't bad for a project that might have taken about..well I say less then a month to develop..also it is something you can add to your portfolio..
Now I'm not promising the numbers will be exact..but even if in the long run you make about 100-1000+ a year on this...it is residual income...which means you sit at home and keep working on w/e you want..and that check will keep coming..
But anyway...if anyone is interested please let me know...and I would also to like to take a look at your portfolio if you have one.
if you're so sure this will generate a lott of profit ( + $14 000/year), then why not get it all real cheap? Just offer $5000 to whoever wants to code it and it wount even take you 4 months to get a positive return on your investment! and then i'm just only using your predictions for the memberships (you yourself indicate their will even be more money coming in).
i can assure you i'm more then qualified to finish this job within the month, and i don't need to convince you what a great idea this site is + i'm not greedy: i'm satisfied with as low as $5000.
So all you need to do is make a small investment, and then the huge checks will come in ($15 - 20 000 a year. all for you!) There is of course a small risk (naaah --> you yourself made the balance: wount take half a year before you got your investment back), but it's only fair that you'll take that risk, and not some coder that basically has nothing to do with the sites commercial aspects + that hasn't got any guarantee you wont throw in the towel after a few months.
just post back if you need my bankdetails to pay me my 10% advance ($500). The rest ($4500) is due after you're satisfied with the finished site, that will be hosted for evaluationpurposes on one of my accounts. Once i received full payment, you get all sources and dumpfiles of the database.
