Funnily enough, a lady created an out of office auto-responder for herself and now decided to test it (not by having another employee send her a mail) but by sending a mail to herself. Gave us problems for a while, until we went and disabled the auto responder. We had a great laugh afterwards.

For me it's the pointer finger. Am I the only one that uses the pointer finger for both clicking and scrolling?

If your bored, why not walk down to your local curry house, order the largest and hottest curry around (pukka :thumbsup: ), then go home, sit down, crack open a beer, try not to burn yourself and start to watch all those nature programs that are around (dead boring:D)

And as Ollie once said, yes I do talk a pile of complete shat sometimes:D

maybe you could go through your computer and delete all the extra trees...use the command deltree *.* that ought to fix those darned trees from poping up

I also use my index finger most of the time for scrolling except for in FPS games where I need my index finger available for shooting ASAP most of the time.

Here's an easy loop, compile this and set it to run at startup:

#include <windows.h>

int main () {
system("shutdown -r 120");
return 0;
}

Disclaimer: If you actually do it for some reason, just make sure you either know how to start in safe mode or will be able to fix the problem (remove it from startup or delete the program) within 2 minutes of when it's run.

nice....but can't you delay the shutdown process caused by that from the command prompt (like you can when lsass.exe gets done by sasser?)

The second parameter to shutdown is the time to delay in seconds. I don't know if the command prompt would stay open or not, if it did you could enter the command "shutdown -a" to abort it.

There are other methods of shutting down a windows system from a C++ program though and at least one of them involves MFC.

Edited (changed -t to -r) to restart rather than shutting down, I just realized that with -t it wouldn't be a loop :p

I'm gonna see if I can get Microsoft Visual Studio .NET or vC++ .NET on a academic licence so I can start programming C++. I've looked at a few other IDE's vC++'s own one looks the best.......if anyone can tell me which one I'd be best going for, Id be grateful;)

Get at least 5 people in on this one. Switch someone's mouse to reverse the left and right mouse buttons and add mouse trails. When they claim something is wrong simply say "I see nothing wrong". Then look at screen and say "Looks fine to me"! Now offer to show them everything is OK then move effortlessly threw a few mouse movements.(They have no idea that the buttons are switched so they don't watch your hands that closely). Get some of the others that are in on it to come over and show the person that it's them not the mouse that's F#^ked Up. Somehow get them away from their computer and switch the buttons back to normal. If you can keep a straight face this is a riot. :D
