I am using CSS and DIVs successfully for the first time and I would like to know which I should be more concerned with... How it looks in IE, or how it looks in FireFox?

Which One?Blind Zero 03-20-2005, 04:59 AM I am using CSS and DIVs successfully for the first time and I would like to know which I should be more concerned with... How it looks in IE, or how it looks in FireFox? harbingerOTV 03-20-2005, 05:53 AM Honestly, both. Most the browsing public uses IE. Blind Zero 03-20-2005, 04:31 PM Hmm hence my conflict. My little test site looks perfect in FireFox but parts of it just seem off in IE. Should I just deal with this? duforudesign 03-20-2005, 04:41 PM Internet Explorer still has hands down the largest user base...Last statistics I had seen had in a 88%, Firefox has since came on strong so I am not sure what they are today...Either way I recommend building towards IE and hacking your CSS for Firefox. You might try browser detection with JS and load a different CSS file depending on the browser. _Aerospace_Eng_ 03-20-2005, 05:08 PM i think the other way around build for FF and then hack for IE, y do u think there are so many for IE, but i have found that if i use valid css, i can get a layout looking the same in both browsers, i haven't had to use any hacks at all yet, but the most common would be the "box model hack" JamieR 03-20-2005, 10:56 PM More people use IE, but Firefox is taking over more and more now. |
