If the target browser is IE only, then use modal dialogs (http://www.devx.com/tips/Tip/14231).

my problem is i tried using showModalDialog()
but i require to open several layers of popups.
showModalDialog() doesnt seem to allow this.
ex:- windowA opens ModalDialogA which in turn submits data and redirects to another page. this should happen inside ModalDialog A.
is this possible using ModalDialogs. (to refresh to a new page inside the dialog)
afterwards ModalDialogA is now showing a new page. when i click a button on ModalDialogA currently displayed page, it should open another new ModalDialogB. this behavior continues so on.
I dont know whether Modal Dialogs allow such behavior.
so what i thought is to use window.open() and afterwards disable mouseClicks on the parent. and when i close the child again enable mouseclicks on the parent.
do u know how this can be done on IE 5.

Unfortunately, form submissions and links go to a new window in modal dialogs. I search the web and found this DHTML Modal script (http://www.subimage.com/dhtml/subModal/).
