Does anyone know where cell phone internet browsing is heading
in the future?
I've seen sites about WAP (Wireless Application Protocol), tutorials
and such, but noticed the dates of the articles are like 1999-2001.
It seems like WAP sort of died.
Just curious is anyone has a cell phone service in the U.S. that allows
some sort of crude browsing on the internet. I realize that it could
only access sites that format the display (since a 17 monitor browser)
display would not be acceptable for a cell phone screen.
Maybe the cell phones are limited to a "proprietary" network of sites?
Or, like Web-TV, it just isn't proving to be popular, and nobody is
willing to design web pages just for them.
It's tough to find any good, current information on this topic.
