Hey there, welcome to CF;)
There are different forum packages around - like ikonBoard, phpBB and vBulletin. Most are free and run on php/mysql. Depending on what your server supports, there are different ones around.

Also, this is in the wrong forum and needs to be moved - please ask a Moderator to do so.

www.phpbb.com
www.ikonboard.com
www.invisionboard.com
www.vbulletin.com
< are the most widely used - however vBulletin isnt free.

Well.. you might want to check out phpBB (http://www.phpbb.com/index.php) which I believe is free.
Otherwise wouldn't you need to have a good bit of knowledge of php?

Uggh,, weazel beat me to the punch ( I'm a fast typer but slow at finding the best link :D )

If want something super easy and free check out www.proboards.com

It is remotly hosted, so all you have to do is put the link on your site to the forum.

If not then go with PHPbb

lol - I try to remember as many links as I can in my head - faster reference:D.

Anyhoo, if someone knows php/mysql and doesnt want a pre-written forum, then code their own - something I would like to have a crack at one day:)

BTW, this thread is still in the wrong forum.
