Hi, i have a flash news ticker which loads its data from an xml file. The xml file is updated extremely frequenty via a php script, and the html page which loads the swf file is set to refresh automatically. How can i stop it caching the xml file so it shows the most recent data without having to restart the browser? This is extremely annyoying problem, as you would expect a news ticker when refreshed to show the latest news.
I dont have the fla file, but i can use Flash Decompiler to decompile it and then edit and recompile it with FLash MX 2004. When i recompile it it ends up half the size(in bytes), and i dont know why + plus it doesent show any scrolling text.

I found the following code
myIdentifier=Math.round(Math.random()*10000);
myXML.load("xmlFile.xml?uniq="+myIdentifier);
but dont know how to implement it properly.

Here is my small flash applet:

http://www.jpooltoolbar.netrulon.com/images/newsticker.swf

The page that updates the xml and then redirects to the page that loads it:

http://www.jpooltoolbar.netrulon.com/update.php

I would really appreciate it if someone showed me step by step how to solve this small problem, or could provide any help.

Phil
