wow! you are great!
it works!
but i still have one question..
i want a picture he starts with, now they both start with a red cross, and i want the first picture instead of that cross...
i had that before, but i dont where i exactly have to add it, and im not just gonna try, im afraid i screw it up again..

what happened to the code i posted here: http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5317 ?
all you had to do was change the images and the text.
mkalishoek
09-01-2002, 10:21 PM
i tried that, and i changed it, but it still didnt work...
tnx anyway....
joh6nn
09-01-2002, 10:26 PM
what did you change on it?
mkalishoek
09-01-2002, 10:29 PM
the images and the text
but maybe I did something wrong, i dont know...
by the way, with your code, the two boxes were above eachother, not next to eachother..
but maybe i was the one being wrong
I am summising that you have changed the image paths in the arrays but not in the table.
In the table you will see:
<table border="0" cellpadding="0">
<caption><strong>Kevin's pet dog</strong></caption>
<tr><td width="100%"><img src="Foto-0000-00-00_files/Img002.jpg" width="400" height="264" name="photoslider"></td>
<td width="100%"><img src="Foto-0000-00-00_files/Img002.jpg" width="400" height="264" name="photoslider2"></td>
The embolded text is what you have to change to the path of your images

stupid me, i should have mention that...
tnx guys!
I took a look at joh6nns revised copy and found that it was a better revision than mine.
:(
I still had to amend the script to get it to do what you required but joh6nns is a far neater job.
:)
It would be more efficient to use this.
:thumbsup:
You will have to amend the image paths (again)
:eek:
Don't forget those in the tables as well
;)

i'm not sure if you've got a version that's already working, or not, but if you do, then i suggest that you leave the working one alone, and play with this new script separately, so that you don't mess up the working version.
out of curiosity, what did you have to modify J? i tested my code in NS4, Moz1.1 and IE6, and it seemed fine.

hey there...
It looks like this now: http://www.geocities.com/nonkhonk/Foto-0000-00-00.html
Cool isnt it?
Is good for now, but now i am gonna try to make a slide show:
When you go on the left side of the photo with your mouse pointer, the photo glides to the left, and you see a new photo at the right,
and when you go on the right side of the photo with your mouse pointer, the photo glides to the right, and you see a new photo at the left..
that would be cool....:)
There was nothing wrong with your amendment joh6nn
except that to have the sliders side by side meant that the two forms were nested.
I did/do not know if this is an acceptable practise so I created the one form and included the following if/else statement for each function
if(num==1){
document['rotater'].description1.value = window['text' + num][window['which' + num]];}
else{
document['rotater'].description2.value = window['text' + num][window['which' + num]];}
}
In my first attachment to mkalishoek all I did was create two scripts one for each form, but I was not happy with this as it seemed a bit naff to have totally unnecessary coding.
Please take a look at the attachment foto3.zip above to see if it still works in the other browsers.
I did/do not mean to offend.

::grin:: no worries; i wasn't offended, just curios. i'll take a look at the .zip tomorrow. i'm pretty tired just right now.
mkalishoek .
How about this.
Change the image paths like before and then click on an image
The images slide something like you described

I tried, but it didnt worked...I think i did something wrong..
But i already found something else..
Im using this script now:
How can i make something like this?:
"in the script wich says: everything larger then 300x200, must be re-sized to 300x200"
How can i make that
