Can someone recommend an extremely secure ftp program? I'm concerned about security/passwords, etc.

what in terms of it saving password etc? or connectivity security? - WS_FTP Pro is one of the best around, but it isnt free. It is very secure in terms of server-connectivity security and is very stable.

It'd help if we knew what OS you want one for...

well true,
for windows, WS_FTP (god, I've typed that a lot today) is great..however I heard filezilla is also great, so that is something I'm going to check out:D

for mac: I heard Transmit is a good piece of software, but I haven't used it as my mac is now dead..better ask Geoffers for more info on it:D

Tranmit (OS X) http://www.panic.com/transmit/

WS_FTP Pro (Windows) http://www.ipswitch.com/Products/WS_FTP/

*Enters anti-Brady mode :P*

The recent Transmit 3 is the best FTP client out there for OS X, it's so powerful, so versatile and so easy to use.

*Exits anti-Brady mode :P*

Brady thinks that Fetch is the best OS X FTP client

If, by secure, you mean it tunnels though / uses ssh encryption, then you're not looking for an FTP client, but rahter an SFTP client. AFAIK, WS_FTP cannot do this. Here are some recommendations:

Winblows
1) CoreFTP
2) WinSCP

Linux
gFTP

[b]Mac[/b[
Oh, I had a good one in my head, but it went poof. I'll get back to you (if you need to know)

Remember, if you're not using a SSH encrypted connection, anyone listening to your machine can pick up usernames and passwords as they're transmitted in clear text with most FTP clients.

Yea, if you want secure like you said, then you dont want FTP.

I'd go with a good ssh client, such as http://ssh.com (windows)
