Hi all,
Do you think that in the future there will be a target attribute for opening a link in a new tab - ala Firefox?
I know that the target_"blank" is irritating to some folks because of the intrusion of a new, and sometimes unexpected, window. But, to me, a new tab (especially if you have it set to open in the background) would not be so rude. Does anyone agree with that? I know that some proponents of the "_blank" tag would argue that they don't wnat their visitors to "leave" site for an external link... this would be a nice alternative. ;)
So I'm wondering if we might see this in the future as an available tag - like target="_tab".
Thanks
