In IE it puts my left div in my center container. I have no idea why. I have attached the 2 files if you would like to look it over. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Here is the site if you want to see what I am talking about.

To be honest, I haven't got the foggiest; since the main page components are absolutely positioned, I guess the problem lies in the offsets somewhere.
Have you validated the markup? There are some wild nested list things going on in the menu there, and a missed </ul> might throw a spanner in the works.

Once you've made sure your page structure is up to par, toy around with the offsets on the menu and midcontainer divs.

On a different note: in an XHTML 1.0 document there really is no place for center and font elements any more; we've got CSS for that now.

True. I just started coding again last month. So, I am trying to learn myself. I'll take a look at some of the ul stuff.

A tip on the side: to simplify matters, it sometimes helps to create a version of the layout with all the unnecessary clutter removed, leaving just the main sections in place, and some dummy content. With this, you can toy around until you get the basic layout working the way you want it; adding back the actual content shouldn't wreck it. If it does, there's something wrong with the content itself; work your way up step by step until you hit the problem spot.

Allright I got it working correctly, but now the right border of my middle content container looks like it is being covered by the right container. This only happens in Firefox. Not IE. If I change the border to 2 px I can see a 1 px line in firefox. Any ideas on how to make it appear in both or stop the overlapping in firefox? Here is the SS code for the 3 columns.

//right column
#ads{
position: absolute;
width: 20%;
top: 2px;
right: 0px;
font: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

}
#midcontainer {
position: absolute;
top: 2px;
margin-left: 20%;
margin-right: 20%;
width: 60%;
border-right: solid 1px #000000;
border-left: solid 1px #000000;
border-top: solid 1px #000000;
}
//left column

#menu {
/*padding: 20px 0 10px 30px;*/
position: absolute;
top: 2px;
width: 20%;

}

Anyone? Bueller?

I am sure there is an easy fix for this, I just can't think of it.
