View Full Version : IE not rendering properly (surprise surpise)

Using <dl><dt><dd> I have my page displaying correctly in FF but in IE6 on XP, it only goes about 2/3 page width. When I start to redce the window size, the text width reduces much to early. I haven't assigned text width so I dont understand this.

plz help

I only took a brief look (I only have IE via Virtual PC, and it's slooooow)... could it be this?

#menu dt {
clear : both;
padding : 0 25 0 25px;
font-weight : bold;
background-color : #808080;

My guess would be that IE is defaulting to a percentage since you've left the "px" out...

You've also got a few of these lying around: "float: fleft;" :D Maybe cleaning up the typos will help things out.

Thanks Richard, I'll put in the px and see what difference that makes.

The fleft's were there to prevent the float from taking effect whilst I tested a few other elements. They're fixed now :D

pretty much fixed now since I put the text into a <p> instead of a class. ONly thing now is that IE indents the first line whereas FF doesn't. :( I'll sort that out later.
