I'm new to this forum so please bear with me. A couple of weeks ago I found a photoalbum that could be placed on my website allowing members to post their own photos. I had it bookmarked, but when my husband reinstalled xp all my favorites were lost. I can't remember where I found it. I was hoping someone would have some idea. We currently have photoalbums that are linked to our site, but these are right on your site and it would just make the whole site look so much better.

Sorry what I should have specified is the new photoalbum would be placed right on my site, sort of like on msn communities.

That was the beauty of this photoalbum, anyone could post their own pics. If you are at all familiar with msn groups you will know what I am talking about and this one seemed to be the perfect solution for us.

To allow any file to be uploaded through scripting to a server requires use of a serverside language such as PHP,ASP,Perl etc.
There are a goodly number of gallery backends available for most serverside languages. I'd suggest first finding out what language(s) your host supports and then either posting in the relevent forum [eg :: Server side development - PHP] or posting the info here.

It would support both perl and php, and I think there was one other but off the top of my head I am brain dead at the moment.

I did some surfing and found what I was looking for.
PhotoPost is a PHP based photo gallery application that enables your site's users to upload photos to categories, with auto-thumbnail generation and resizing, and lets visitors post forum-style comments and ratings for those photos. Use it on your site alongside your existing forum with one login for both apps, or use it by itself with full functionality
