Here (http://home.earthlink.net/~harbingerofthevoid)

Okay so it's not the best. Not the worst either. The Earthlink host is a good dump for projects before uploading to my main host.

Only the 'Home' 'Raves' and 'Extras' links lead to anything with content other than Lipsum. On the home page, only the side bar that has content.

I know the sharp edge on the bottom of the header is a little off and I will do something about it. The links are crap and am working on it. Same with the font size buttons*.The fact that the background of the top of the side navigation is faded like that leads to some gif problems. So just ignore all the links in the side nav if you will.

The home page still has some formating examples for my own sake so don't go crazy about the blockquotes or the text links. I was just experimenting with how things looked. One page at at time eh?

Look, if you want, at the page if you want and give some crit. If you see any obvious typos please let me know. My grammer is usually good but I type like I write & talk ;)

Thanks,

harbingerOTV

*I added this because the fact that the font I used, although standard, doesn't look good on my other computer running 800x600, as well as the fact that small text may not...blah blah

p.s. don't look at the source if you want to sleep at night. Kind of hacky.

p.p.s. tested on IE6 and MOZ/FF and seems to work fine. If you use another browser and not getting the layout right plaese let me know so I can correct it.

Hey, that looks pretty good. I like the way the header seems to breakaway into the open space of the browser window, rather than it being in a defined box. The fixed background works quite nicely too. Nice colour scheme, there's nothing wrong with being a bit neutral in that department - though if you feel it's getting a bit stale for you, then maybe time to move on?

One thing that is really starting to grate a bit with me though is the seemingly obligatory 'get firefox' button - it's just starting to get on my nerves a bit, and it kind of smacks of the 'best viewed in blah blah blah' days of the past - it's starting to look a bit uncool and ameuterish IMHO.

I'd also like to see the title graphic looking a bit stronger, maybe lose the bevel effect and try some other way to make it stand out a bit.

Hope that helps,

Kindest Regards,

Gary

Since I got a reply I might as well give on as well.

I have pretty much scrapped the side bar. The links off site at the bottom started out as a way to test the space I had for them and how to fit in them in there. Then they sort of just stayed there. The look of them just doesn't fit either.

As for the color scheme, I like monochromatic schemes a lot. They do get washed out easily though. I am trying to use the colors in the header as the only colors in the site but not sure how it's going. I have taken a few color palettes from some images I like and have been testing them out. We'll see how that goes.

appreciate the words Gary.
