Is there a way to convert teh full screen opener for IE (the one that expands to fill the whole screen) so that it works for NS6?

Thanks in advance

The "chromeless" window trick of IE is really a bug, and one that I read somewhere will be removed in IE7.
No web page should have that much control over a window.

What?

Why not? Now what's wrong with Chromeless?

(Ooohh, my 100th post!)

The first time it happened to me, I didn't know how to close it.

Now imagine you're a middle-aged business person (no generalisation intended - it's just an example), reluctant to bother with all this "technology stuff" in the first place, and that happens to you? You would probably be quite freaked out ... phoning the help desk, wondering what's gone wrong ....

That's one problem with chromeless windows. Here's another:

The internet is not my whole computer, it's just a window on my computer, and that's I want to keep it - in its place, next to other windows which have other information sources in them.

Imagine if you had a friend who was always in your face - he comes round your house when you got a few mates round, and he comes right up to your face, blocking out everybody else and completely monopolising your attention. How long would you put up with this before you didn't invite him round anymore?

.. well it depends, but it's just an analogy. I'm sure I've made my point

the last "friend" i had like that is now residing in a very cosy pine box. nice place, very near to the woods, very quiet, police, er, people don't head out there much.

likewise, sites that use chromeless or fullscreen, are not sites that i go back to.

So John, this tells me you are a "middle-aged business person" yourself. :)

I've a chromeless window on my site, but I don't think anyone fitting the "business" description will ever visit. ;)

Now I also had it open Fullscren, but even I got annoyed with that - and so many sites that I've seen with Fullscreen, just don't seem to do it right. I, personally, like to have the option of going fullscreen via a link, but not unexpectedly...
