Hey guys I have a quick question. How do you guys do so good of banners??? I mean that is probably the hardest part on me, making the banner. All I have is Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office Picture Manager, Paint, etc. It might have to do with that I am REALLY bad at art. Any help?? :(

Thanks,
Scootertaj

I'll advise you to download several good looking banners. If you have the ability to sight and recognise good looking banners, you already have art in you. Next try to regenerate the banners by yourself. Since you got photoshop, i'll advise using that. After the 3rd or 4th one, you should start getting some ideas yourself. Designing is not difficult once you have the picture in your mind.

You should try using the tutorials that came with photoshop. That did a lot for me in learning things like transparency, layers, alpha etc. which are integral in design

Except the problem is I think I only have Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 starter edition. Is that like the normal Photoshop?
Where would you recommend looking for good banners?

Thanks,

That's not photoshop! I'll advise you to get Photoshop CS. You can get from the adobe (http://www.adobe.com)site.

If you're looking to save cost, a good alternative is Macromedia Fireworks. You can download a fully functional 30 day evaluation from the macromedia (http://www.macromedia.com) site.
