Trying to change background

Hi all can someone please tell why this is not working.
Im trying to change my background to an image background but it doesn't work please help. the background has to look like my site background, this is my code, this is the name of image that I must have as backgroung, (new site back) thanks.

You'll have to be more specific and/or provide a link to your site.

To what element are you trying to apply the background-image? And is the image file called 'new site back'? What's the extension, .gif, .jpg??

Again it's hard to say without seeing things live, or at least posting the associated html.

It may be a problem with your path. Are you able to pull up the image directly... http://yoursite.com/image b/new site back.gif??

Also, it's a good practice to use underscores rather than spaces in folder and filenames. Like: image_b/new_site_back.gif.

so ur just trying to make ur background a color? then y are u wanting to use an image? :confused: can't u just use background:#2D2D2D; in your body css and take away the background-image?
