Anyone know of some good resources for math methods useful for scripting? Kind of a cookbook for number manipulations for the mathematically challenged.

Say your have a range of 1 to 32023 and you want to test a number within the range to find which in the repeated series of 1-13 it is. This isn't obvious to me, although I am sure its pretty basic.

Anyway, this sort of thing, useful for web scripting, dates/time, sorting, etc., which can get overly complicated or wonderfully simple depending of the approach.

Thanks.
