Image Co-ords and actons...

How do I make an image, (image2) cover an existing image (image1) when a coordinate in image 1 is clicked on

Then

Image2 must be able to support coordinates ASWELL. Not for a 'roleover image' but simply for links.

Please note that the images will be the same dimensions and everything.

You have a single background image and when you role over a coordinate in the image a secondary image that is a small portion of the background image appears, giving the effect that part of the background image is highlighted.
Once the image is 'highlighted' the user must be able to click on the secondary or 'highlighted' image and navigate to a new page.

Sounds like you just need to capture the coordinates of the mouse's x and y position and have some if statements that check to see if the mouse is an a set region if it is then perform your action.

Or you may be able to use image maps inside an iframe....

I may be on the wrong track here, but I would've thought (in your second case scenario) you could just put the image and the highlight into a <div>, use this to trigger the MouseOver events, and give the two images their own <a> links.

If that's no good, it might help if we could see an example of what you're trying to do - even if it's broken.
