Seek script to open thank you page after submitting a mail-form

Because of stuborniss of provider I can't use the cgi-bin to send the mail-form I've build. I've solved that problem by using a mailto action, but now I need a script to open the 'thanks for filling out our form'page that has to open after submitting the form.

Has anybody got such a script lying around?

You could put your mailto link in the usual <a href='mailto:.....> area and then add an onclick to the image (or submit button, or whatever) like this:

onclick="window.location='thankyou.htm'"

Unfortunately I don't think that will work. The submit button sends me the information that the user has put in 5 or 6 different form-fields (like name: email: etc) which is done with the formaction: mailto, and therefore is necessary. When I ad a behavior like onClick to that submit-button it will show the thankyou-page but will completely ignore the form-action mailto.

Any other suggestions?

What if you added a call to a function that will open the thank you window to the form tag
