On one of the websites I made, there is a popup saying "to help protect your security, internet explorer has restricted this file from showing active content..." Yeah, I know it's a pretty standard pop up with SP2 security, and its fine. On another site that I made (its hosted on a friend's server) the pop up doesn't come up. Though when I'm looking at the same site in through my files (not online, but in IE) the pop up comes up. So I'm assuming that something in my friend's server is letting the javascript bypass, letting it override and just go through.
Heh, what I want to know is... What is that something? I want to know, because the popup is annoying and I want to know how to bypass it on my other sites. Sorry if this is a silly question. I'm just kinda beginning and I'm still learning about everything when it comes to web hosting and design. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but I'm not really looking for how to get rid of it on my side, I want to know how to get rid of it on server side. I want to know why the popup DOESN'T pop up when its hosted on this particular webserver.
When I open the site, (from my computer, from files in a directory, not online, not on a server) it pops up.
I want to know what in the webserver is causing it not to pop up, so I can apply it elsewhere.
The reason why I'm asking is because I have another site, hosted elsewhere, and this popup displays there. And it also displays in my files (not online) when its opened. So something is not being applied somewhere, something is missing from the server.
I don't really care about the popup displaying when "I" visit. Its the visitor's I care about, and it might seem annoying to them. And I want to know if there's a way that I can prevent it from even occuring.

Whether or not it fits your preconception, the information is accurate.
