Help::htaccess code

Can someone help....I want to prevent users from seeing the files in the browser address bar....withou affecting the functionality.

for example...I want

http://www.some_domain.com/some_file.ext

to appear as

http://www.some_domain.com/

basically I want to hide the files from being seen in the address bar.....as the browse thru my site....

Is that possible with the .htaccess file?

I dont know much, but I know I'm here.....:confused:
