Hi, I'm in the middle of designing a site, where I've extensively used the font " Accord Heavy SF".

Unfortunately, after having to completely reinstall my OS last week I have lost all my extra fonts - including the Accord font family
:(

So, I'm really stuck now - the client has approved the visual look of the site - including the choice of font, so I can't just use a different font now - but on the other hand I can't make the few changes he's requested, and the deadline is like a day away.

If anyone has this particular font could they please email it to me?

creative (at) graft (dot) biz

I've searched high and low on the net, but found nothing - if it is not a freely distributable font, then if anyone knows where I could purchase it from, that would be a great help.

Many Thanks

Hi Gary
I've been looking on the net, and found nothing - I have a good selection of fonts but I don't have it:(

Where did you originally obtain it from? Who is the publisher?

Jamie.

Thanks Jamie,

This is the problem, I have no idea where I obtained it, you know how it is - how you just pick things up here and there - could have been of the net, a magazine cd, I really don't know.

Strange thing is, googling for the font name - the results don't indicate it's an obscure font, but unfortunately the results don't show where you can get it from either! Maybe it goes under another name these days.

I've had another look on the net and have asked amongst a lot of my contacts on MSN Messenger, but none of them have it. One suggested that it could be a Adobe font, however I haven't checked this.

I even had a look on the bit torrent networks :o but that font wasn't available.

Anyhow..I'm still looking:D

Hey, I wish I had it (I don't) or I could find it (I couldn't!) BUT...

I did some research and "Accolade Bold" is either a new version of the old font, or really, really close... see?

I've sent that and the regular version to you, I hope it works...

Thanks Jamie, thanks very much, you're a star mate

no problem:D

I reckon it has been renamed....some older fonts are re distributed under new names to try and improve their sales and success...

Jamie, I reckon you could be right there, I found a completely different font called accord - maybe there's been some legal wranglings or something there.

Thanks again, I really appreciate your help :)

@Gary
No problem... I'm pretty sure Accolade is Accord, just renamed.

BTW, I tried sending the files to you several times, but my smtp won't send email to your email address (?); I tried hotmail, if you still don't get it let me know and I'll send you the links to download them from my website...

Hey Richard thanks a lot  looks like my hotmail had been deactivated, back up now though (I hope) could you try sending again please? and if you could cc to this account too: Edit: email address removed from post - forgot about spambots for a moment there  /edit, just in case.

Many thanks,

Gary :)

You have mail (at your tiscali address)... And, hopefully, a font that won't make you change your already finished layout!

Hi, I know this thread is as old as hell, but I've been looking desperately around for the "Accord Heavy SF" font, or "Accolade Bold" as I gather it's now called, and this is the only place I've found any mention of it. If someone could possibly send me the font, or give me a link to where I can get it, I would be very grateful.

Thanks,
Chris

I found Accolade Bold here:

http://www.fonts.com/findfonts/detail.htm?pid=203174&grab_id=0&page_id=11341&query=Accolade

I've searched my font library, and can't find any reference to accord heavy. I'll have a look-see at our font reference manual at work tomorrow.

Its not a free font which probably why you haven't found it. Evo posted the same link I did.

Well that sucks, I'll have to see if I can bum it off school :( Thanks for the help and speedy responses guys

Yeah it seems quite elusive, the only places I've ever seen it mentioned are in this thread, and on my schools computers, where it appeared about a year or so ago. I thought it looked pretty cool, so I used it for my product design coursework, but then when I got it home, I discovered I can't do any work with it, because the text is the wrong font and size :(

Are you sure you have the name spelt right, or even the right variation of the font?

Yeah I definitley have it right, but don't worry about it, I managed to beg some time with a laptop that had access to the windows fonts folder at school, and copied it on to a pen drive, so I have it now :)
Thanks for all your time and help

Chris

Also, when I find myself in this sort of situation I use "What The Font" on myfonts.com and it tries to find either that font or a similar type font. Heres the link HERE. (http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/) Check it out. You can even test your font on their servers. Meaning you can type your message in that specific font and they'll show you the output in picture format...(I think .gif or .png)
