Hi, I've just had to reinstall Win XP Pro - and now all the special characters on the keyboard are in the wrong place

For instance: shift+' should give me the @ symbol - instead, it gives me the " symbol.

Shift+2 should give me the " symbol - instead, it gives me the @ symbol.

Most of the other special characters seem to be in the wrong place too.

I've looked in the obvious places i.e. Control Panel/Keyboard and at my keyboard driver software, and of course in the XP help files - but none seem to offer any ways of changing the keyboard mapping.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Gary

Ok, is it just me, missing something completely obvious?

Sounds like you have your keyboard set for the wrong regional settings...

er.....yeh under control panel > regional and language options - select united kingdom for both of the drop down menus...
That should set your location etc and keyboard to the UK version (I think you live in the UK:confused: )
