Enter vb data into active excel file

What will the vb code be to enter values into excel from your VB6 myProgram.exe file. The “aim” is that the values, from the exe file, must be entered into an already opened (active) excel file. myProgram must not opened the file again, due to the fact that the excel file will be opened as a copy.

Any source code will be highly appreciated.

I know that this forum is concerned about students posting their homework assignments on this site. I am a Transport Engineer at a company named Arup (http://arup.com). I am in the Johannesburg, South Africa office. I need to distribute the exe file to our other offices in Durban and Cape Town. Your help in this matter will be highly appreciated.
