Hi,
I am working on a demo site to try and get a job, but they, possibly my future employers, want the site to have a area where they can sell their products, like hot tub chemicals. I was wondering if anyone knows of good resources to go to about this sort of stuff...

They would need to set up a merchant account with some host that
allows secure credit card transactions. This of course is not free.
The prices vary a lot, so do some research. PayPal is probably the
easiest one to set up, but is not quite as professional looking as a
complete shopping cart installation with a purchased software package.

Don't sign up for a Merchant account if you're just starting, as that's usually once you have a lot of volumn and well established. There are a number of good 3rd party CC processors that let you instantly be handle to handle credit card transactions on your site. They take a commision of course and wire you the rest each month or so, similar to Paypal.
