Hi,

I was wondering if any linux gurus out there knows how I can get my implementation of gnu/linux to recognize my wireless network pcmcia laptop card. I'm on an Inspiron 1000 with a memory upgrade to 512 MB with 30 GB of space. I've installed Fedora Core 3 Test 3 and I have a wireless network card made by Dell. At present, I have no idea how I should go about installing this wireless network card. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you checked Redhat's compatibility list to see if it is compatible with Fedora?

You could always just stick it in and see if it detects it with the new hardware probe.

you just need to find the drivers for the card. The standard ones on redhat don't normally include all the wireless cards so you will probably have to google or whatnot to find the correct one. I know wireless on redhat can be a pain to set up sometimes. The dell card should be out there since it is a fairly standard card.

Thanks for the replies! I'll get to work on that, and sorry for the late come back - it's been a hectic week. Again, thanks!
