Hello All I hope you can keep up and even better have a response for me :)

I am running 3 machines I will name them PC-A, PC-B, and PC-C
I have a hub and a router and I am trying to figure out how to do the following

OK PC-A has 2 nics
and PC-B has 2 nics
and PC-C has 1 nic

ok so PC-A and PC-B are connected via crossover cable and PC-A is connected to the hub which connects to the internet on its own IP

PC-B and PC-C are both connected to the router which also is connected to the internet with a different IP

so as you can tell PC-A can see PC-B but not PC-C and PC-C can see PC-B but not PC-A but PC-B can see both PC-A and PC-C, now without changing any of the hardware configuration is there a way that I can get PC-A to see PC-C and vise versa? I thought a network bridge did that however it doesnt work (at least what I tried) :(

I know if I added another nic to PC-A then connected that to the router then I could get it to see PC-C however I dont have the cash right now I also know that if I just connected PC-A to the router and skipped the hub that also would work only problem being is that the router is my firewall for my personal pc's and the hub (which is not secure) is where the server is located, for obvious reasons I dont want to open ports 80 and 21 on the router which is why it is outside yet all the same I need PC-A to see PC-C as some of the files on PC-C need access through the server

Confused yet???

Connect all the pc's to the router and put the server in the DMZ. Easy as that. Unless your routers firmware has no support for DMZ. If that's the case and I've never tried this. . .Maybe. . . .

Plug the internet directly into the server, share the connection from the server out to the router, and then from the router out to the pc's, but you may end up not being able to see the server from the PC's and visa versa. not sure. . .

you could use a router switch that would enable port forwarding so you could forward port 80 and 21 and any others to the server while the others stay hidden and you can give each their own seperate IP or share behind the router with a hub and what not....
