Don't comment on the history section of the about page... Too many typos, out of date etc.... Apart from that, comment on anything. :p
Updated the history section...

A quick look through the site and I don't like the way the search results are returned. I'd rather see the first little bit of each entry and a more styled divider between search results. Though he'll hate it, I'll use www.leftjustified.net as an example. Do a search there and see how the results are formatted.
Also, there's not much of a design to comment on, except the photo. On that note, though, I think it should be more fuzzed up (to create some kind of abstract thing) or more cleared up. Where it is right now just looks like poor quality.
I'd like the format of the pages to be different, so that when I'm on an archive page I know it and when I'm on a category page I know it. As it is now, I don't know that those pages are any different at all.
Overall, I hope to see more of a design in place. Right now, it's almost in some kind of Word Press default or something. It's just text on the page with your photo in the top right. I wouldn't call that a design.

Ooooh, very Meyerweb (http://www.meyerweb.com/)... :D
Image? There's an image somewhere? Sorry, haven't found it.
A little more color and a little less white would be nice, I would like to see the body text a bit bigger, and I personally think blue links look ugly.
The main section and the sidebar could do with a bit more separation, especially since at present there's little else to distinguish the two.
Consider going fixed width, or at least create more whitespace and reduce line lengths. Line spacing looks good, a slight increase in text size will already help.
Minor things really, and I know you can take some constructive criticism... :p Well, suggestions.

Nice work lad :thumbsup:
Can't really say much about the design as such, but what I can say is that I 'm seeing all sorts of possibilities for styling/designing the site up.
If that's the WP default, I'm gonna have to look into having a go at doing one for myself, not that I ever have anything interesting to say :rolleyes:
Couple of gripes: The photo covers the 'GEOFFERS' title in Opera 7.5, and it doesn't show up in IE6 at all.
Arial? bah, last resort, not the font of choice.
Also, and I can't think of a way of saying this without sounding er..patronising, but at your age, I wouldn't put too many personal details on the site. As a parent myself, it would kind of worry me a little.
All in all, a good start with LOADS of potential :cool:

tsguitar2004 - Obviously forgot to style a couple of pages :p As for defaults, the XHTML is almost entirely default, just with a completely new stylesheet....
ronaldb66 - If it gets sunny, maybe I'll go out, take a couple of photos.... And I'll change a couple of things...
Graft-Creative - Shouldn't wait 30 minutes before pressing reply... I know about the Opera bug, but that should be fixed in something that I'm going to do later...

Geoff,
The photo... doesn't show up in IE6 at all Ditto here; I think IE gets a little confused by and floating and abs pos'ing a div at the same time.
Make your mind up: do one of 'em, not both.

Ahh... Should be fixed, can someone check?

Nope; could you add a border or some background color or something? I'd like to be able to see if it ends up at all somewhere.
By the way: IE insists on a horizontal scrollbar, consistently thinking the page is wider than its content, even though it is fully fluid. This may -or may not- be somehow related. The extra width is about as much as your sidebar.

I'll be honest... there's not really anything there that strikes me as amazing. The layout is pretty standard and so far there isnt any colour for me to comment on. However, that leaves loads of room to spice it up! :)
I agree with ronald:A little more color and a little less white would be niceIt just lacks that "something" that brings a design to life. I think you need some colour that will bring out certain aspects of the design (links, the columns, headers, and so on). I'm not a fan of using 40 differant colours tho, I tend to keep down to just a few.
I'm also not sure what I think of that image... perhaps make it into something totally abstract or you could sharpen it up and overlay it over a colour of your choice (preferably the same one that you are using as your highlight colour.)
All in all, it's a good start with loads of potential to make it something special :thumbsup:

A bit monotone really; a wee bit of colour would do it no end of good. The picture isn't brilliant really - it looks like the person who took it had drunk a bottle of whisky, and then stood on a massive jelly to take your picture with a crappy single-use camera.
Why all this extra CSS?
h1 a:hover {
color: #ff0000;
text-decoration:none;
}
h1 a:active {
color: #ff0000;
text-decoration:none;
}
h1 a:focus {
color: #ff0000;
text-decoration:none;
}
It could easily be changed into something like h1 a:hover, h1 a:active, h1 a:focus { color: #f00; text-decoration: none; }
It's certainly got potential, but it "ain't nuffin but nuffin" at the moment.
