Haven't you asked for a review on this site before? It doesn't look any different from what I remember.

The page doesn't really have any structure - it's just a big page of center-aligned text, which is extremely hard to read. The markup is apalling - WTF is this?

There are font tags, center tags table tags and flippin' align tags everywhere - FrontPage can produce code better than this man!

Have a look at W3Schools (http://www.w3schools.com/) to learn some basic HTML & CSS, and then Google for web design tutorials - perhaps find out a bit about graphic design, page layout, branding etc.

Upon reading the first couple of paragraphs, I still had no idea what HDTV is. Make your point in the first couple of paragraphs; even sentences, otherwise the user will get bored and bugger off.

You've got an original topic, something that you are interested in, and you should be able to work from there really. Some graphics will brighten the page up, but don't go overboard - not everyone has a fast connection.

that WTF code is an donation link so people donate via paypal :)

I've seen Paypal form code which you insert into a html page to display their form to make a donation- but never that long. Is that some untidy method of encryption?

Anyhow, as Chilipie said, the markup is appaling. You haven't even used a XHTML compliant document to design your site (or missed out the tag if you hand coded it).

Yes its a form of encryption
i used the encryption cause i would be getting spam emails, becuase the encryption encrypt the email address.

and what are u talking about the XHTML compliant document
where should i put it and what does it do?

Are there any pros and cons with XHTML compliant document ?

He is talking about something known as a 'DOCTYPE Declaration' this is something that appears at the very top of your html code, right before the opening html tag.

By including this doctype declaration you are instructing the browser software (Netscape, Explorer, Firefox, etc.) to display your web page or site in accordance with the specifications of the version of html that you used to code your pages with. If you don't have this declaration, then the browser is left in a position of having to guess what your code means.

Another advantage of including a DOCTYPE is that you can use handy tools like: http://validator.w3.org/ to test the correctness of your html code, and fix any mistakes accordingly.

An excellent, and easy to follow article on the subject is available at http://www.alistapart.com/articles/doctype/

As for the design, well there isn't one, which is a shame as it's probably quite an interesting subject you're promoting.

You can't just throw a bunch of information on a web page (or a printed page for that matter) and expect people find it useful. Even if I was interested in HDTV , I would probably skip your site and look for a more user friendly resource on the subject.

Time to start over I'd suggest. Have a look on the net, which sites do you like visiting and using, what is it that makes them easy to use and worth visiting again? Make some notes, do some sketches on paper (they don't have to be works of art, just basic grids indicating where you'd like your Nav, main content, less important content and adverts to go).

Then start trying to code these sketches into an on-screen reality (
 )

So u say i should put the 'DOCTYPE Declaration'

I am afraid it will prevent people from seeing my website when i put that tag in.

will it ?

and to answer rmedek Question.
No its not spam, i am just trying people to help me out with the design.

But there is no design to comment on. The navigation is not very intuitive or helpful. The page involves some major scrolling to get to any information I may be interested in. Really, I would skip this site and move on to another site if I were interested in the subject. Oh, and a site with that many advertisements is annoying and useless to me (and many other people). There you have it.

As others have said, look at sites you enjoy and sites that are easy to wade through. You've got a ton of information and you haven't made it easy to get to it. Sites that you like and you find helpful, try to imitate some of what they do. First off, create a home page with less content, a kind of simple introduction to what your site can do for someone using it. Then, create a navigation system for folk to get around your site; the system currently in place is kind of hidden up at the top. Try to keep scrolling to a minimum. If you don't want to use graphics, that's ok. At least use some colors and margins to give you site a look that says you've spent time creating the page. Right now, it looks like you just slapped all that information into a center column without much thought to what goes where. It doesn't look like you've spent much time creating this site at all. There are very few, if any, design considerations apparent and that MARQUEE tag makes me want to go punch someone in the face.

It's really a mess and I would not use your page. With navigation in place, less scrolling, and maybe some color to engage my interest, some margins to create a space for content, the MARQUEE tag going away, I'd consider it. But even then, the advertisements would drive me away. I want impartial information and I don't feel I'm getting that when I'm being propositioned while looking through your site.

And why would putting in a DOCTYPE prevent people from seeing your site? I don't get it...
