For both linux and MS Windows you can open up a terminal/command prompt and run netstat. Not sure about Macintoshies. And if you prefer a GUI based netstat there are ones available for both linux and windows.

Mac's are UNIX based these days. They have several BSD derived tools as well as an excellent GUI tool called Network Utility.

Hi, an easy way is to use a firewall which has a "Net State" function that can show the currently active connections and the details of these connections, including Remote Address/Port, Local Application/Port, Protocol and Status. mm... You can try Armor2net Personal Firewall, http://www.armor2net.com. Hope this help!
