View Full Version : Applications in OSX have the power to cancel restart

wtf is that about? Shurely that's not right ... an application shouldn't be able to do that - surely shutdown should have veto over all other processes.

Why is that? And can I do anything about it? I can imagine a scenario where I find myself trapped in an application that keeps cancelling the restart I need to escape from it ...

Whenever an application has cancelled restart, force quitting it then restarting has always done the trick. I haven't seen any preference yet to override this automatically.

Ah yeah .. Force Quit .. I'd forgotten about that :)
